A Grandpa for Christmas

The perfect film to welcome the holiday season...
Directed By:  Harvey Frost
Starring:  Ernest Borgnine, Juliette Goglia
Length:  Approx. 2 hours
Content Filters:  None

Juliette Goglia (who was a presenter at the 2007 CAMIE AWARDS) and Ernest Borgnine star in this charming film that exhibits the quintessential feature of a CAMIE nominated film--you walk away from it feeling good.

Bert is taken off guard when he is told he needs to take care of his 9 year old granddaughter after her mother gets in a car accident and is hospitalized. For a long time Bert has been estranged from his daughter, so his relationship with his granddaughter has been practically non-existent. Bert feels overwhelmed by the presence of this new person in his life, but if quickly becomes clear that he is eager to please and make the best of an awkward situation.

Becca is hesitant as well... she is being sent to live with a grandfather she has never known. The only thing she has to go on is the stories her grandmother (Bert's ex-wife) and her mother have to share with her--and they don't exactly put Bert in a good light.

Bert and Becca are both about to learn something, though, and the importance of family is at the heart of this story. Do yourself a favor--heat up some of those Thanksgiving leftovers and sit down with your loved ones to enjoy this film. It will be premiering Saturday, November 24, on the Hallmark Channel.
