Teenage Emily and her younger brother Ben run off one nanny after another with pranks that include filling the washer with way too much soap and disconnecting the drain. Besides obnoxious behavior, they let loose their pet rat, reset the sprinklers to soak the nannies, and turn the oven up to burn the food. Some of this is funny, up to a point but one quickly develops empathy with David, their father Finally Kate, a nanny studying to be a school teacher, appears on the scene who handles these things with amazing patience. Besides going to school, Kate cares for her very sick father, volunteers at her church as a tutor for kids who are having problems at school. She soon gains the confidence of Ben, the younger of David's kids, while helping him improve with his school work. Emily is another matter. She sees Kate as competition with her father, especially when he starts to pay attention to this particularly efficient nanny. The casting is excellent. The story line is well developed and isn't quite as predictable as it may appear early on. The cinematography is excellent. We congratulate Larry Levinson Productions and The Hallmark Channel for bringing us another entertaining drama that's wholesome and uplifting.
