The Good Witch's Garden

An OK follow-up movie to The Good Witch
Directed By:  Craig Pryce
Starring:  Catherine Bell, Chris Potter, Peter MacNeill, Rob Stewart, Elizabeth Lennie, Matthew Knight, Hannah Endicott-Douglas, Jordy Benattar, Daniel Magder, and Alexander Conti
Length:  1 hour, 35 minutes
Content Filters:  None

Catherine Bell does a nice job of playing the lead role of Cathy in a rather weak story. Cathy is kind of a magical person who moved to a small town and bought a 200-year old mansion called The Gray House. She fixed it and its beautiful gardens into an enchanting bed-and- breakfast.

Cathy's first overnight guest is Nick (Rob Stewart) of whom Cathy's boy friend, who happens to be chief of police, is highly suspicious.

We congratulate The Hallmark Channel for creating more and more original movies, many especially for the family. There is no immorality in this film, although having a shady character such as Nick being a solo guest in Cathy's bed-and-breakfast, is a terrible idea even though in this case "nothing happens." There are some interesting sequences in The Good Witch's Garden" which some would call a chick flick mystery. But this film one is not as good as most of The Hallmark Channel's other originals.
